The onslaught of New York photography show openings begins this week. I’ve dug up at least twenty-seven shows opening in the next two weeks, a testament to the overwhelming shadow New York casts on the traditional gallery-based photography world. (And I probably missed more than a few since not all galleries are on the spot with updating their Web sites.) I’ve split this list into two parts, below are the shows opening this week.
